One of my favorite places to shop (see me there on a weekly basis) is Target. I really have been enjoying the special collections that have been popping up there. You may be familiar with their new Threshold line that I spoke about here. There is also the new Nate Berkus collection and several other amazing collections, including one by Neiman Marcus. Target and Neiman Marcus have collaborated with some of the design world’s best designers to present unique gifts to purchase at your local store. See the full collection here. They have over 50 plus items to choose from designers like Jason Wu, Oscar de la Renta, and Marc Jacobs. I had my mind set on a special plate collection by Tracy Reese, an American fashion designer, who specializes in women’s clothing. We took a recent getaway to the Gulfport/Biloxi, MS area and I was able to take a look at the entire collection. Here are some pieces I really liked from the collection.
In the end, I still ended up with the 4 Tracy Reese dessert plates. Poor me, huh? They are amazing and were so worth the money.
Each plate has a very unique design and color variation that makes them so special to me. The edges are trimmed in 18K gold, which really adds to the glam of the set. I’m not going to lie. I love to cook but I’m not that great at baking sweets. But with the help of Pillsbury, I made some brownies just for the plates…and my family of course.
These will definitely serve as inspiration to attempt baking more sweets from scratch. I already found a great recipe for caramels. I’ll let you know how they turn out.
Have you been enjoying the new collections at Target? What do you think about my new dessert plates?
