Hurricane Punch

This message is intended for readers 21+. Please drink in moderation.

There is no mistaking – I love making pretty food and drinks! It’s so much fun to get in the kitchen and see what I can create next. Occasionally, I create food twists by swapping out items or trying out variations of a classic recipe. What I love about making cocktails and drinks is that there is so much I haven’t tried. Brandon enjoys creating the recipes too so it’s perfect for me. All I have to focus on is styling and photography. I like to think about where would I be if I was drinking this, what would I be doing, and how can I add my own special touch. Food and drink styling is something I enjoy and I keep trying to push the limits.

Today’s drink recipe is one that many locals may have had before – a Hurricane punch. This recipe is our version on a traditional New Orleans inspired cocktail, featuring rum, pineapple juice and more. It’s normally served in a Hurricane glass but I served it in green vintage glassware. I like to use my vintage serving-ware as much as possible. You can even do the same for the Big Game. As you’re cheering for your favorite team on Game Day, sip on this Hurricane Punch. It taste fruity, looks pretty, and packs a memorable punch. Here’s the recipe so you can impress your guests with it. Super simple!

Hurricane Punch

This delicious Hurricane Punch is vibrant and fruity - perfect for impressing guests. Inspired by a traditional New Orleans cocktail, this drink may be pretty and sweet but it packs a nice punch. A hurricane punch that you won't forget. Serve this drink for game day or any other special occasion.

Servings 6

  • 2 cups Orange Juice
  • 1 cup Lime Juice
  • 1 cup Pineapple Juice
  • 1/2 cup Grenadine
  • 1 cup White Rum
  • 1 Sliced Oranges
  • 2 Sliced Limes

  1. In a pitcher, blend and stir all ingredients together. To chill, place in freezer for 45 minutes -1 hour. Serve over ice and garnish with fresh oranges and limes.

See how easy it is to make this punch?! The best part? It serves at least 6 people so adjust the recipe for your entertaining needs. The Big Game will be here shortly and having a memorable drink for your party is a great gesture. You can make this ahead and have it chilling in the freezer for approximately 45 minutes. You don’t want it to freeze but having it really cold really brings out the flavors in this vibrant drink. You’ll be saying – TOUCHDOWN to this awesome drink in no time!
